Dentalia

Dentalia are small sea creatures that live along the Pacific coast. Their shells are long segmented tubes that were cut into beads by ancient peoples. These beads were widely traded by coastal communities. The Sq’éwlets dentalia shells may have been traded from Vancouver Island or further up the West Coast.
