Net & Cordage

We have always used nets for most of our fishing. We made nets from strong plant fibres such as stinging nettle twine and redcedar string. We set nets from the shore or drifted with them down the river, set to our canoes. We also used dip-nets to fish salmon, as taught to us by our ancestor.
