Quartz Microblade

Before 2,000 years ago, we made fish butchering knives out of small, quartz blades. By setting a few of these little rectangular blades end to end in a wooden handle, we made straight blades. Clear crystal quartz is found in remote mountain sources. This type of fish knife was later replaced by ground slate knives.
