Redcedar

Redcedar is the most spiritually important of plants to Stó:lō peoples and their neighbours. Redcedar wood, needles, and buds were found in the Qithyil village. Its most prominent uses were for building houses and canoes, carving totem poles, and making baskets, mats, and clothing. Today as in the past, the branches are used for spiritual cleansing.
